The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) promotes and recognizes high standards of scholarship in California schools.

Applications are accepted during the semester following when the qualifying grades were earned and is for one semester only. The student must submit an application each semester to maintain membership.
 
A point system specified by the California Scholarship Federation establishes the membership requirements. To secure eligibility for CSF membership, a student must earn sufficient points from pre-approved course lists. The majority of the required membership points must come from University of California accepted course work. For more information, see the course list below.

To qualify, you must earn a minimum of 10 points in a maximum of 5 classes in the previous semester.

  1. Minimum of 4 points must be from List I

  2. The next 3 points must be from List I or II

  3. The last 3 points may come from any List (I, II, III)

  4. Grade A+, A, A- for a Non-AP/AS course is worth 3 points

  5. Grade A+, A, A- for a AP/AS Courses are worth 4 points. Maximum 2 courses used toward total

  6. Grade B+, B, B- for Non-AP/AS is worth 1 point

  7. Grade B+, B, B- AP/AS Courses are worth 2 points. Maximum of 2 courses used toward total

CSF APPLICATION
IN-PERSON AND MAIL-IN SUBMISSIONS

To complete your CSF Application in person or to mail it in, the following is required;

  • A completed CSF Application. See button below for link to PDF.

  • A copy of your unofficial transcript which you can get on Infinite Campus (http://portal.seq.org). 

    DO NOT GO TO YOUR GUIDANCE OFFICE FOR YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

  • $5 application fee by check (preferred) or cash. Make checks out to M-A HS.

To submit your CSF Application in person, by the deadline: 

  • Bring completed application, transcript, and payment to the collection table in front of the library at lunchtime during the application period; or

  • Drop off completed completed application, transcript, and payment to M-A front office.

To mail in your CSF Application:

  • Mail completed completed application, transcript, and payment to Menlo-Atherton High School, 555 Middlefield Road, Atherton, CA 94027. Must be mailed/postmarked by February 14, 2025.

You will be sent a confirmation email after your application has been received.

Late applications will not be accepted.

CSF APPLICATION-ONLINE SUBMISSIONS

To complete your CSF Application Online, the following is required:

  • Access the online CSF Application using the button or QR code. 

  • Upload a copy of your unofficial transcript available on Infinite Campus (http://portal.seq.org)

    DO NOT GO TO YOUR GUIDANCE OFFICE FOR YOUR TRANSCRIPT

  • Pay the fee: $6 by Credit Card ($5 plus $1 processing fee), or pay $5 by Check or Cash. To pay by check, pay to the order of M-A PTA. Bring check or cash payments to the M-A administration front desk in an envelope with your name and school ID number.
